Cleaning house physically, emotionally, and mentally.

I am participating in the A-to-Z Challenge again this year. My theme is My Favorite Books. Most of the books I will be posting about, I have read more than once. After all, they are my favorites.

J is for The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan.

The Joy Luck Club

The Joy Luck Club is Amy Tan’s first novel, published in 1989. It is the compelling story of four Chinese-American families in San Francisco. The relationships between the Chinese immigrant mothers and their American-born daughters is spot on, but of course with the difference of backgrounds.

Amy Tan has written several other books, of which I have read most of them. She writes with such emotion that you are completely drawn in to the characters and situation. And I learned a great deal about Chinese history and culture while reading her books.

Treat yourself, read this book!
