If you are a semi-trivia freak like me, you know that a Blue Moon is when there are two full moons in a single month.
So imagine my surprise when I read that tonight will be sporting a Blue Moon. Can’t be was my first reaction. But then I read the following article.
For those who want the short version, a Blue Moon is when any of the four season contains four full moons. This summer is one of those times. Each full moon has another descriptive name, such as the early summer moon (June 23), the midsummer moon (July 22), and the late summer moon (September 19). So without messing up the standard descriptive names, this full moon in August is called the Blue Moon.
Another bit of trivia to store in my widdle brain.
Update: The cupcake I couldn’t remember was a hummingbird cupcake. It had bananas, pineapple, and nuts, and was spectacular. And the wallaroo is still missing.
