Cleaning house physically, emotionally, and mentally.

So I have an extra hour today. Big woop! Leaves are still on the tree so I don’t want to get all hung up on raking the little buggers.

But it is a goal, so must be done! I feel a good excuse compromise in the crispy air.

Here is a before shot.

And here is the after shot.

The compromise? Rake until my back hurts, which only took about 15 minutes. But I did get some of the leaves raked up, two leaf bags full, and hot pizza out of the oven.

Now it is time for that nap!!

  1. Sorry–really behind on my reading! Looks like by now you’ll have more leaves to rake! 🙂

    • Yup , I do and it’s only Wednesday. Can’t take on weekdays because it is dark when I get home. And now “they” say possible snow by Friday. Poor leaves; they may be on the ground for months.

  2. Darn those deciduous trees! Great for shade in the summer, but come fall—pfff.

The trees here don’t lose their leaves until December, when the rainy season hits. So cold + rain + giant piles of wet leaves stuck to the ground + all the holiday tasks you have to get done before Christmas = fun fun! (Not.)
