I was attending a family dinner tonight. Brother N had his iPad on front of him and was showing off several old pictures that he had recently scanned.
At some point, Sister S made a comment that ended with “OMG.” Usually OMG means “oh my god.” But that meaning didn’t quite match up to the conversation. Brother N asked Sister S “what?” as I’m sure he thought he just misheard her.
Sister S responded with “OMG, Obama Must Go!”. And here is the result:

Yes indeedy, Brother N could not control his guffaw and part of his dinner ended up on the iPad screen.
Two things can be learned from this experience.
- Don’t guffaw with food in your mouth.
- Don’t talk politics at dinner.
I know I could come up with several more lessons to learn from this minor explosion, but I don’t want to bother. Any good ideas?

Don’t bring your iPad to the dinner table. It’s rude, kind of like reading or talking on your cellphone while you’re eating with others.
Was your brother in agreement with your sister? Or laughing at her?
Brother N is a computer geek and always has his iPad. But it was ok as he was sowing us old old pictures that he had recently scanned in.
I am not sure what they were talking about. I just heard the omg, what? And then the Obama Must Go. Not sure it would have been funnier even if I knew what they were talking about. The spewing was hysterical because it hit the precious iPad instead of me. Thank goodness.
