Q is for Quilts

Q is for quilting. Quilting in geometric patterns fills that internal need to have patterns in my life. Randomness is a difficult concept to incorporate into my quilts. Here are a few pictures to illustrate my use of patterns in quilting (bed quilts, baby quilts, and wall hangings). Of course, quilting is usually about patterns. The first two pictures show the maximum amount of randomness I am comfortable doing.

I am showing these pictures in an effort to inspire myself! I have not quilted for a couple of years and desperately want to get back into it. There are so many unfinished projects I have. The last picture is one block of a wedding quilt for some friends. So embarrassed, but they have been married for about 9 years or so and I still have not finished the darn thing. The fabric is so beautiful that I should enjoy working on it.

I need help getting inspired!! That’s a goal for this summer; to get back into my quilting.
